Sign Owners - How to Schedule Ads on your billboard

Guide on the steps that sign owners can take to upload their own content on a billboard.

Scheduling ads on a sign is a three step process.

Step 1. Upload the Ads to our website

Step 2. Create an ad group.

Step 3. Schedule that ad group on the sign.

Step 1. Upload the Ads to our Website:

After logging into our website (http://operator.blipbillboards.com/), navigate to the 'Ads' tab. Then click on 'Quick Upload'.

Once you are on this page, click on the box to select your files, or drag them from the folder on top of that box. You can upload multiple ads at the same time. (Max file size per ad is 2 MB). When you are done selecting ads, finish uploading by clicking on the 'Upload All' option.

Step 2. Create an Ad Group

Once your ad is uploaded, the next step is to create an ad group. An ad group is what actually gets scheduled into a board slot, and can consist of one or multiple ads. If there are multiple ads in a group, the player will cycle through all of the images in order.

First, click on 'Create Group', or select an existing Ad Group.

Give the ad group a name, then click on the 'Pick Ads' button. You should be able to select all advertisements available. Once you are done, click OK.

Then finally, click Save.

Step 3. Schedule that ad group on the sign.

Now that the ad group is created, we still need to determine on which sign that ad group needs to play on, and the dates for those ads to run.

Navigate to the 'Signs' tab using the navigator on the left. Then, select your sign. Then, determine which slot you would like to schedule that ad in, and click on the pencil option on the right side.

Now we need to find the ad group. Click on the appropriate advertiser, then click on the ad group that we just created. Give the slot a name. Then select the start and end date of when you want the ad to start running, and when they should stop running. Optional step: selecting a slot fraction if you would like the ads to run less than a full slot.

When you are finished, click 'Save', and the ads will be scheduled to run. It may take 5-10 minutes before any newly scheduled advertisements begins playing on the billboard.
